Continuation of the Campaign to Support the Resilience of Southern Villages: Distribution of Prefabricated Units for Official and Service Facilities

In the ongoing effort to enhance the resilience of residents and support service sectors, the Council has provided a number of prefabricated houses to be used across several villages as replacements for destroyed official buildings, such as municipalities, Civil Defense centers, and health clinics.

As part of this campaign, sets of prefabricated units—including Chinese-manufactured structures, equipped units, and prefabricated sanitation facilities—have been distributed and delivered to key strategic points and vital centers, detailed as follows:

Support for Civil Defense Centers:

Qrayeh Town: Delivery of a prefabricated house to serve as a temporary Civil Defense building, with active work currently underway to equip it with the necessary infrastructure and utilities to enable operation in the near future.

Nabatieh: Provision of prefabricated units to support regional Civil Defense teams and centers.

Kfar Sir: Delivery of prefabricated units designated specifically for the town's Civil Defense center.

Distribution to Municipalities and Southern Towns:

Zawtar El Gharbiyeh Municipality: Delivery of a batch of prefabricated houses to support the return and stability of residents.

Froun Municipality: Delivery of prefabricated residential units.

Ghandouriyeh Municipality: Delivery of prefabricated houses and dedicated facilities for the municipality.

Srifa Municipality: Delivery of prefabricated units to support local relief efforts.

Zefta (Meiss El Jabal Civil Registry Office): Provision of a prefabricated house to facilitate administrative and public services.

Mayfadoun and Tebnine: Provision of prefabricated units for the municipality as well as Tebnine Secondary School (serving as the field/temporary hospital).

Aitaroun (Bint Jbeil District): Delivery of prefabricated houses designated for the municipality and town residents.

Khirbet Selm, Qlaouiyeh, and Surrounding Villages: Provision of prefabricated houses and supporting sanitation facilities for local municipalities.

Educational Institutions and Warehouses:

Ain El Zeit Branch Secondary School: Provision of prefabricated units and supporting sanitation facilities.

Qaa Qaysariyeh / Al-Jisr Warehouse: Allocation of a main staging and distribution center for prefabricated housing units to ensure swift logistics, transport, and receipt.

Relevant authorities reiterate their ongoing coordination and continuous efforts alongside the Lebanese Civil Defense and all local municipalities to secure the return of operational teams and citizens to their workplaces and homes, ensuring the provision of essential infrastructure and supplies to guarantee a dignified living for our people across the villages of the South.
