A delegation from the Board of Directors of the Council of the South, headed by Engineer Hashem Haidar, along with Vice President Ms. Rasha Abou Ghazaleh and council member Dr. Youssef Doughan, conducted an inspection tour that covered several towns in the Jezzine and Jabal El Rayhan regions.
The tour commenced with a visit to the Monastery of St. Peter and St. Paul in Qattine, where the delegation reviewed the project being executed by the Council of the South. They were received by the Superior of the Monastery, Father Boutros Aaqouri, along with a number of priests.
This was followed by a stop in the town of Kfarhouna to inspect the progress of local development projects.
The delegation then moved to the town of El Aichiye, where they were welcomed by the Mayor, Mr. Marcel Aoun, members of the municipal council, and local figures. The visit included a field tour to review both completed projects and those currently underway in the town.
The tour concluded with an inspection of development projects and their implementation progress in the town of Jarjouh and neighboring villages.
This tour comes within the context of the Council of the South's ongoing field follow-up on its projects and its commitment to assessing regional needs and priorities, thereby fostering balanced development and reinforcing the principle of serving citizens across all regions without discrimination.
The Council of the South will sequentially continue its inspection tours across various regions as part of its field monitoring of development projects and their execution.
